Stacey Hoffler-Smith, EA

Stacey Hoffer-Smith, EA, is the co-founder and general partner of HofflerSmith Financial Services, an accounting firm in Cherry Hill, NJ, which she started in 1999. With more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Stacey enjoys providing each client with a superior experience so they can grow, thrive, and succeed. She is most passionate about helping clients get the best possible results, find solutions, and feel more in control of their stressful and/or insurmountable situation.

Previously, Stacey worked for several years in the Behavioral Health field in Philadelphia, PA. Today, however, she devotes her efforts full-time to enhancing her services in the field of taxes and accounting. Specifically, she offers practical straightforward advice, and in plain language. Her biggest value is integrity; she gives her best every single day.

Some of Stacey’s recent projects include:

Finished an audit with a client, reducing tax balance from $122K down to $26K
Completed missing returns, reducing client bill from $60K down to $5,000
Stopped wage garnishment— prepared missing returns to replace IRS’s self-generated returns (called Substitutes for Return Processing)

Additionally, she has offered services in the community over the years to promote financial literacy, awareness, and support, such as:

Facilitated free tax preparation for low-income individuals via the IRS VITA Program
Conducted small business workshops for local churches
Conducted small business start- up workshops

Stacey has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and a Master’s degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She is a member of the following organizations: South Jersey Chapter of the Links Inc., the Winslow Rotary, the Cherry Hill Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Black Accountants, the National Association of Enrolled Agents; New Jersey Society of Enrolled Agents, and the National Association of Tax Professionals.

When she’s not working, Stacey enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Layton Smith, Sr., EA, CTC, is the co-founder and general partner of HofflerSmith Financial Services, an accounting firm in Cherry Hill, NJ, which he started in 1999. With more than twenty years of experience in the financial services industry, Layton strives to provide each client with a superior experience, allowing them to grow, thrive, and succeed. Additionally, he enjoys working hard to help entrepreneurs avoid unforeseen financial mistakes. He is most passionate about resolving client problems.

Layton’s core values include integrity, growth, and mindfulness. He gives his absolute best every single day and continuously searches for new and effective ways to approach tasks, conflicts, and improve the customer experience. He provides clients with practical, straightforward advice on financial matters, strategic planning, and taxes, so they can focus on running their business and generating revenue. Layton earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Temple University. He is also an Enrolled Agent and a Certified Tax Coach. When he’s not working, Layton enjoys cigars, grilling, hunting, and collecting firearms. He also likes to attend fraternity events, casinos, and travel with his family.
